Punjab Food Authority Launches Food Business Facilitation Center to Support New Entrepreneurs

Lahore – In a progressive step towards fostering the food business ecosystem, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has officially launched the Food Business Facilitation Center (FBFC). The new center, operating under the auspices of the PFA, aims to streamline and support new food entrepreneurs in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, improving compliance, and promoting food safety standards across the province.

The FBFC offers a one-stop solution to food business operators (FBOs), providing essential guidance on licensing, compliance, technical assistance, and legal requirements. A dedicated committee at the center, comprising members from PFA’s Resource & Licensing, Technical, and Legal wings, will guide FBOs through licensing processes, review business layouts, inspect process flows, and ensure adherence to legal standards.

“This initiative is designed to empower emerging entrepreneurs by reducing regulatory hurdles and promoting a clear understanding of safety and quality standards,” said a Punjab Food Authority Director. “With FBFC, new food businesses can focus on their product innovation and growth while we guide them on the path to compliance and success.”

By simplifying access to necessary resources and ensuring transparent guidance, the FBFC aims to foster a startup-friendly environment that will drive growth, enhance food safety, and ultimately benefit consumers. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to the food industry by enabling startups to establish their businesses within a supportive framework, boosting the local economy and expanding food sector opportunities across Punjab.
